Zenit-E Russian (Soviet) 35mm SLR Camera (1967-1981)
This is a pretty cool camera,
The lens shown with this camera is Helios-44-2 https://sgs.nsw.edu.au/cialis-online/ screw mount lens" href="http://www.camerapedia.org/wiki/M42" target="_blank">42mm can i buy antibiotics over the counter screw mount 58mm f/2.0 lens. This particular camera was made in 1978 based on the first two digits of the serial number on both the lens and body.
The camera remains popular today and gets great reviews. Although film photography is not as popular today since digital has taken over, there are many fans, new and old, who like this camera! I haven't tried it out yet but will post photos when I get the chance.

Congratulations. My father taught me the basics with this one and I just got an used one from E-bay. It all works, I am very pleased.
Nice article, thanks!
I’m looking forward to trying out mine soon too!
This was my first SLR and I had an Olympus Pen S before that couldn’t change lenses on and bought the Zenet E .The camera was built like a Russian Tank and was as heavy as one too. The pictures were stunning , sharp , excellent contrast and colors. The lense was a manual stop down diaphram and not metered with the body so it was like using a seperate meter. Yes,,it was a Tank but the price was right for me then. After about six months I sold it and bought a Pentax Spotmatic SP and went on to become a Pro Photojournalist and now use mostly Nikon Digital . The old Zenit got me started into Photography and opened doors to a whole world that I cherish to this day. I kept the 58mm f2 lense for years on my desk as a reminder of what I used at my start.
That’s a great story! It seems the Zenit-E was an important camera for many photographers.
I still use it. Great camera – I love the plain glass
without microprism, without fresnel lens, without split image, and
… without exposure meter inside, so I can concentrate on the
composition only!
